Zach Connerty-Marin

Design director

It is I, half the Big Kahuna. I'm responsible for the slick designs and interfaces. I also dabble in the advanced coding of web applications, such as back-end administrative programs that allow you to manage your site’s content and images, and online auction systems.

Before I co-founded this company, I freelanced for about 5 years for friends, teachers, and myself. In 2006, I started working at a local (Portland, ME) design company called TransitID and I continued to do so for approximately a year and a half.

Business manager

At 4 my parents gave me a three sectioned piggy bank – one section for spending, one section for saving (bank account), and the last section for investments. At the time I believed that investments were much too complicated for my young, developing mind and tried to convince my parents to make two spending sections. This didn't happen. I was taught, at first very simply, and later through discussion with family brokers and bankers, how to manage money. Economic management moved beyond a simple piggy bank approach to allowance and is now one of my passions.

At Big Kahuna Design my responsibilities include management of the business' affairs and money. Although I have never been part of a registered general partnership before, I have talked with professional business advisors at local, state, and national levels regarding the start up and continued management of a business. I am confident that my interest and skill with management of matters fiscal and otherwise makes me a benefit to your company's future web site.
